Advancing Sensible Housing Options
We are a small group of property managers, owners, renters, and builders who live in Anchorage, and who believe the city needs more housing of all types in order to grow, attract talent, and remain an affordable, attractive and diverse community. However, not all housing solutions are created equal, and what works in another city may not be right for Anchorage. We are dedicated to highlighting housing options and policy that works for our northern location.
We are also fans of good urban planning and design. We want to see an Anchorage with thriving mixed-use corridors, color, and year-round vibrancy. We also believe that neighborhoods should have distinct character and scale, plenty of green space, safe streets and sidewalks, and room for families. Good planning = good zoning = strong community.
An important note on the content of this site: we have found that using visual renderings facilitates better conversations about what zoning, code, and policy changes actually mean at the street level. Much of the imagery on this site is AI-generated, but the written content is all our own (and may not represent the perspectives of our companies, affiliate groups, etc.).
